Our Pastor


Pastor Ladislao Robinson, a native of the Island of Old Providence, Colombia, founded Iglesia Bautista Lindale.  He began his ministry at Lindale on October 10, 2004 which was when the church was started. Pastor Robinson was ordained to the ministry of the Gospel on the 29th of November 1993 at First Baptist Church, Old Providence Island, Colombia. He has served as pastor of Misión Bautista Peña de Horeb, Cali, Colombia (1986-1988), Iglesia Bautista Belalcázar, Cali Colombia (1987-1991), First Baptist Church, Old Providence, Colombia (1991-1995), Hispanic Congregation at Tallowood Baptist Church, Houston, Texas (1999-2000), Centro Bautista Agape, Houston, Texas (2000-2005). He has also served as Associate Pastor at Claymount Baptist Church, San Andres Island, Colombia (1998-1999).

Through the years, Pastor Robinson has led revival services and Bible Conferences in the USA, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, UK, El Salvador, Cuba and Honduras.

When he moved to Houston, Texas in 1999, he did a one-year Clinical Pastoral Education—CPE residency at The Methodist Hospital. Now he is a full-time Staff Chaplain with the Harris County Hospital District serving at Ben Taub General Hospital since September 2003. Pastor Robinson is a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. While living in Colombia, Pastor Robinson served as Director of the Caribbean University Foundation, San Andres Island, Colombia (1996-1998). In 1995 Pastor Ladislao Robinson was appointed Departmental (State) Secretary of Education for San Andres and Providence, Colombia; and he held the position for a year. Prior to that, he served as Municipal Secretary of Government and Community Development for the Municipality of Providencia and Santa Catalina, Colombia (1992-1994). During that period, he was appointed Mayor for the municipality (July to October 1993).  Pastor Ladislao Robinson is currently Adjunct Professor of Preaching at the College of Biblical Studies, Houston, Texas, a position he held since 2001. He also has taught courses on preaching, Bible study methods and leadership in many churches in Houston and other cities.

He is married to Evelyn—their anniversary date is July 20th—and he commented that the closest person to a child in their home is he himself.
